Sept 19 @ 7 PM - Drive-In Movie - Island of Lost Souls

Drive-in style outdoor movie in the library reading garden (weather permitting). In case of inclement weather, film will be shown indoors.

Join film historian Keith Crocker and the Reader Services Department as we celebrate H.G. Wells’ The Island of Doctor Moreau. The 1932 film adaptation of this extraordinary novel, Island of Lost Souls, will shown in the library’s reading garden, drive-in style. In conjunction with the movie, we will briefly discuss Wells’ classic work, along with Silvia Moreno-Garcia’s reimagining of this story, The Daughter of Doctor Moreau. Besides presenting the film, Keith Crocker will discuss other adaptations of The Island of Doctor Moreau. Grab some popcorn and enjoy the show!
