Sprucing Up Bowling Green's Greenery

Students, teachers work together to clean up school's garden.

From Syntax: With the changing of seasons underway, students of Bowling Green Elementary School in the East Meadow School District recently gathered to beautify their school by sprucing up the landscape surrounding the school.

As part of a PTA-sponsored school beautification project, Bowling Green Elementary School students and faculty spruced up their surroundings by planting flowers.

Working alongside teachers, parents and Superintendent of Schools Dr. Kenneth Card Jr., students enhanced the school’s garden by planting tulip bulbs, garden mums, pansies and perennials. The project came to fruition with the help of the Bowling Green PTA.

Bowling Green Elementary School second-grader Samantha Rodriguez planted flowers next to a statue of the school’s mascot, Spike.
