Uniondale Tax Preparation Shop Burglarized: Police

The front door was smashed and money was stolen, police say.

UNIONDALE, NY — Someone broke into Liberty Tax in Uniondale early Sunday, Nassau police said.

Officers were called to the tax preparation store, at 536 Uniondale Avenue, for a burglary that happened at 2:55 a.m., police said. A burglar smashed the front door with a brick and entered the business, police said. An unknown amount of money was swiped, police said. The thief then fled in an unknown direction, police said. Detectives are investigating.

Detectives asked anyone with information regarding the above crime to call Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS or call 911. All callers will remain anonymous.
