• 'Unprecedent Chapter': Saratoga's Summer Meet Concludes (newsobserver.com) — Elmont will soon host a newly rebuilt Belmont Park, set to reopen September 18 after three summers of the Belmont Stakes being run at Saratoga during construction. NYRA reports another hugely successful Saratoga meet, with over a million fans and more than $900 million wagered, and says this marks a turning point toward a new era for New York horse racing.
