14-Year-Old Girl Killed In Nassau Crash

BREAKING: Three other people were hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries after the crash on Wednesday evening.

FARMINGDALE, NY — A 14-year-old girl was killed in a car crash in Farmingdale Wednesday evening, according to Nassau Police.

While driving a 2017 Honda Odyssey and attempting to make a left turn onto southbound Main Street from westbound Fulton Street, the driver, a 45-year-old man and his front-seat passenger, a 14-year-old girl, were hit by an eastbound 2014 Jeep Wrangler being driven by a 54-year-old man at about 6:16 p.m.

The crash caused the Honda to spin around and hit two other cars that were stopped at the traffic light on Main Street south of Fulton Street.

As a result of the collisions, the 14-year-old suffered multiple trauma injuries and was transported to a local hospital. At the hospital, she succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead by a staff physician.

Three others were injured, including the driver of the Honda, the driver of the Jeep and an occupant from the stopped car at the traffic light, police said.

All three were transported to a local hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

The investigation into this non-criminal accident continues and the identity of the 14-year-old girl is not being released at this time, police said.
