2 Men Arrested In Connection To Farmingdale Shop Burglary: Police

The men entered a business through a skylight and stole merchandise back in April, police say.

FARMINGDALE, NY — Two men who Nassau police say burglarized a Farmingdale business last month were arrested on Sunday.

A 50-year-old man noticed his business, Woody’s Goody’s, at 695 Main St., was broken into at 11:17 p.m. April 9, police said. Two men entered the business through a skylight and stole assorted merchandise before leaving, police said.

Jonathan Diaz-Alfaro, 24, of Albany Avenue in Amityville, and Douglas Mejia-Gomez, 23, of Michigan Drive in Hicksville, were arrested at 3 p.m. Sunday in connection to the burglary, police said.

Both men were charged with third-degree burglary and third-degree grand larceny. They are scheduled to be arraigned Monday in Mineola.
