2 People Had Loaded Handgun In Farmingdale: Police
The two were accused of selling narcotics, police say.

FARMINGDALE, NY — Two people who were arrested on Saturday in connection with a narcotics investigation were found to have a loaded handgun, Nassau police said.
Treshawn Lane, 25, of Hauppauge, and Shantel Colon, 20, of Middle Island, were arrested in the police's investigation into the sale of narcotics near Main and North Front streets in Farmingdale, police said. A loaded handgun was recovered by detectives, police said.
Lane and Colon were each charged with second-degree criminal possession of a weapon, third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, criminal possession of a firearm, and fifth-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance. Lane was also charged with a second count of third-degree criminal possession of a weapon.

The pair had been scheduled to be arraigned on Sunday, Jan. 23, at First District Court, 99 Main St., Hempstead.
