29th Bethpage Saint Patrick's Day Parade Grand Marshall Chosen

The parade is scheduled for the beginning of March.

BETHPAGE, NY — John McTigue has been chosen as the Grand Marshall of the 29th Bethpage Saint Patrick's Day Parade. It will be held 1 p.m. Sunday, March 1.

McTigue has lived in Bethpage with his wife Karin since 1976 and has three adult children: Jack, Steven and Katrina. McTigue's grandparents came from County Mayo and Roscommon, both in Ireland.

He is a CPA and is a retired tax partner from Ernst & Young, where he worked for 38 years. McTigue has served in the Marine Corp reserve, coached youth soccer, baseball and basketball and is treasurer for the Bethpage Educational Foundation.

He is also a member of the St. Martin of Tours parish and is on the finance committee. McTigue is a member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians, an Irish Catholic fraternal organization.
