• Driver Using Red And Blue Lights, Sirens Arrested After South Farmingdale Crash, Police Say (patch.com) — Residents in South Farmingdale may be alarmed to learn that a local man was arrested after allegedly using red and blue flashing lights and multiple sirens on his pickup truck while driving aggressively at Linden Avenue and Main Street. Police say he crashed into another car, fled the scene, and was later charged with criminal impersonation, leaving the scene, and reckless endangerment, with a court date set in Hempstead.    

• Jubilant Calhoun softball team shaves coach's head after winning first county title (newsday.com) — Calhoun’s softball team clinched its first Nassau Class AA county title with a 7-4 win over MacArthur at Farmingdale State, then celebrated by shaving their coach’s head. The Colts now head to Bellport on Saturday to play East Islip for the Long Island championship, riding big hits from Sophia Nicastro and Madison Martins.
