EAST FARMINGDALE, NY — A pedestrian was killed in a crash in East Farmingdale Saturday night, police said.
According to Suffolk County police, the crash took place at the intersection of Route 110 and Conklin Street at about 8:30 p.m.
A woman was walking westbound across Route 110 at the intersection of Conklin Street when she was struck by a southbound 2011 Hyundai Sonata, police said.
The woman, whose name is being withheld pending notification of next of kin, was transported to Nassau University Medical Center in East Meadow where she was pronounced dead, police said.
The driver of the Hyundai, a 30-year-old man from Farmingdale, was not injured, police said.
The vehicle was impounded for a safety check, police said.
