Several freshmen led the way, and the teams now look ahead to their next meet on September 12.
• FBI Warns Prominent Individuals of Consent Phishing Scam (lilifepolitics.com) — A Farmingdale-based cybersecurity CEO is warning that even multifactor authentication may not fully protect residents and local businesses from a new FBI-flagged consent phishing scam. He urges treating cloud identity security as seriously as firewalls and antivirus, and the FBI advises carefully verifying unexpected messages, limiting app permissions, and reporting any suspected incidents to IC3 or local field offices.
