• Plainview woman pleads guilty to driving while high on methamphetamine, causing crash that killed man, 55 (newsday.com) — A Plainview driver has pleaded guilty and faces four to 12 years in prison for a methamphetamine-impaired crash that killed a 55-year-old Farmingdale man in August 2025. Prosecutors say she ran a red light on Carman Avenue, fatally injuring passenger Steven Diamond and hurting two others, with sentencing set for December in Nassau County court.
