Smith Haven Mall's revamp almost done as LongHorn Steakhouse, other new tenants planned (newsday.com) — A major renovation at Smith Haven Mall is nearly complete, but Farmingdale diners may be most interested that the island's only existing LongHorn Steakhouse is currently in their own village. 4. 77% of Long Islanders want crackdown on illicit massage spas, new poll shows (newsday.com) — Farmingdale residents should know the village already has a law targeting landlords who allow prostitution on their properties, as new polling shows 77% of Long Islanders want tougher crackdowns on illicit massage spas. While Nassau and Suffolk lawmakers debate stronger countywide rules and partisan disagreements stall a proposed bill, local towns like Huntington and Farmingdale are among the few already fining repeat-offender property owners.
