Barclays Golf Tournament to Cause Road Closures in Farmingdale Area

Drivers in the Farmingdale area can expected delays this week.

The Barclays Golf Tournament, which will take place between August 24 and August 28 at the Bethpage State Park on 99 Quaker Meeting House Road, will cause some road closures in the area.

From Wednesday thru Sunday between 6 a.m. and 8 p.m. motorists, can expect the following road closures:

• Round Swamp Road between Quaker Meeting House Road and Winding Road.
• Round Swamp Road between Winding Road and Town of Oyster Bay Landtek facility.
• Quaker Meeting House Road between Merrits Road and Round Swamp Road.
• Bethpage State Park Clubhouse Road between Bethpage State Parkway traffic circle and the Bethpage State Park clubhouse.

Police advise drivers to avoid these areas during those times.
