Bay Shore Man Arrested After Assault, Woman Was Punched And Stabbed In Farmingdale: Police

A LI man is accused of assault, occurring on Sunday night, police say.

FARMINGDALE, NY — A Bay Shore man was arrested after an assault that occurred on Sunday night in Farmingdale, police said.

Nassau County police said officers responded to a disturbance on Main Street in the vicinity of South Front Street and determined that a man attacked a 45-year-old woman at 6:30 p.m.

The man punched and stabbed the woman in the chest and shoulder with an unknown object before fleeing the scene, NCPD said.

Police said the woman was transported to a local hospital in stable condition.

After investigation, officers located Todd McGee, 49, and arrested him, police said. He was charged with second-degree assault, fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon, and aggravated criminal contempt, police said. He was arraigned on Monday at First District Court in Hempstead, NCPD said.
