UPDATED: 2 East Farmingdale Businesses Destroyed In Fire

EAST FARMINGDALE, NY — Two East Farmingdale businesses at a commercial building were destroyed Sunday afternoon in a fire. Diversified Lighting Diffusers, a company that manufactures and distributes lighting diffusers, and Kitchen Source, a cabinet-making shop, were at 226 Route 109.

The East Farmingdale Volunteer Fire Company fought the fire with the help of multiple other fire departments. The initial call came in at 2:27 p.m., Suffolk Police said.

"The building is a total loss," the East Farmingdale Volunteer Fire Company told Patch.
