Car Free Day LI Rally Event Cancelled

The Car Free Day LI Rally, which was supposed to take place at Farmingdale State College on Wednesday, September 21, has been cancelled, according to Farmingdale State College officials.

However, there will still be several events scheduled on Long Island to celebrate Car Free LI Day on Thursday, September 22.

Those events include:

• Suffolk County and Suffolk County Community College will host a Car Free Day LI Summit at the Community College Ammerman Campus in Selden, at Brookhaven Gym, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
• The Wyandanch Plaza Association and the Town of Babylon will welcome commuters and residents on their way home, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., with music and refreshments at the Car Free Day LI Celebration at Wyandanch Plaza - steps from the Wyandanch Village transit-oriented development - the Wyandanch LIRR and Parking Facility, and Suffolk County Transit bus stop.
