CBS Show Films Scenes In Farmingdale

Crews were seen filming in the village as well as at a local diner on Tuesday morning.

Crews were seen filming for a CBS show in Farmingdale on Tuesday morning. The show, "Madam Secretary," filmed scenes in Farmingdale Village as well at the Library Cafe at 274 Main St. and the Farmingdale diner at 17 Hempstead Turnpike.

The series, which stars Tea Leoni, premiered in 2014 and has filmed in Farmingdale three times since.

In addition, in 2014, the show filmed scenes at the Nautilus Diner in Massapequa.

The show follows the life of newly appointed Secretary of State Elizabeth McCord (played by Leoni) as she drives international diplomacy, battles office politics and circumvents and ignores protocol as she negotiates worldwide issues.

"Madam Secretary" was renewed for a fourth season last month.
