'A Day of Remembrance' Ceremony in Farmingdale to Kick Off Thursday
The ceremony will honor the 15th anniversary of 9/11.

The Farmingdale Summit along with the South Farmingdale Fire Department will be hosting "A Day of Remembrance" ceremony in honor of the 15th anniversary of 9/11 this week.
The annual Farmingdale Remembers ceremony will take place on Thursday, Sept. 8 starting at 6:30 p.m. at the 9/11 Memorial at the Farmingdale Public Library on 116 Merritts Road.
Farmingdale Remembers is the Summit's annual observance commemorating the events of September 11, 2001.

All residents are invited to participate in the brief ceremony to honor and remember those who died, pay tribute to those who served in the recovery operation and to show their continued support for all those who were affected by the events of Sept. 11, 2001.
Following the services at the library, there will be another ceremony and buffet at the South Farmingdale Fire Department on 819 Main Street starting at 7:15 p.m.
