Egg-ceptional Easter Eggs

Easter, has come and gone.

Still, its essence lingers in our home.

In fact, we’ll likely be eating leftovers for the next month.

Besides lamb…Challah-like sweet bread and Easter eggs are BIG traditions. So, my man has plenty of egg salad sandwiches to look forward to.

In fact, as I may have mentioned before, in our culture there’s a special day set aside for preparing the latter two.

Eggs are traditionally dyed red on what’s known as Red Thursday, the Thursday preceding Good Friday during Holy Week.

Well, though we are, or at least like to consider ourselves traditionalists, we are semi-traditionalists in truth.

So, while I do dye at least a half dozen eggs red, the rest are whimsical creations of my latest annual inspiration.

Last year I was inspired by Martha Stewart and this year by hobbies, holiness and Hollywood.

My goal to make hard boiled eggs look appetizing and delicious….and to put a smile on my guests’ faces.

Here is some of my handy work.
