Estelle's Dressy Dresses Of Farmingdale Celebrates 30 Years
Estelle Schlossberg founded Estelle's Dressy Dresses in 1992, and it has become one of the U.S.'s largest retailers of fancy dresses.

FARMINGDALE, NY — Estelle's Dressy Dresses celebrated its 30th year anniversary. A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held on Thursday by the Farmingdale Chamber of Commerce at the businesses' 1600 Broadhollow Road address.
Estelle Schlossberg founded Estelle’s Dressy Dresses in 1992. This family-owned and operated business has become one of America's largest retailers of dressy dresses, as well as one of the largest female-operated businesses in the metropolitan area, according to the chamber of commerce.
It began as a one-woman modest venture with a single rack of clothes in a rented space within a Farmingdale warehouse. In 30 years, it has since exploded into a "mega-business," encompassing some 37,000 square feet, the chamber of commerce wrote.

Estelle’s now carries an "unparalleled selection" of dressy dresses; gowns for brides, their mothers, and wedding party members; clothes for children; accessories, including designer
handbags; and shoes.
In keeping with its family-oriented business philosophy, Estelle’s has purposely chosen not to follow the trend of "branching out," preferring instead to concentrate on better serving its customers in its one location, which covers more than four-and-a-half acres on Route 110 in Farmingdale.
