Explosions Set Off In Farmingdale Area: NCPD

FARMINGDALE, NY — The Nassau County Police Department is investigating two explosions it believes were in the Farmingdale area over the past few months.
At least two males were in a park Nassau police thinks to be in Farmingdale, when they used an explosive device to set off at least two explosions, police said. The first explosion looks to be from the ground and the second explosion was from within a garbage container. Nassau police doesn't believe anyone was injured.

The department said the use of explosives, including fireworks, is illegal and extremely dangerous.
Detectives ask anyone with information about these explosions or anyone that can help identify the males to contact Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
