Farmingdale 2023-24 School Budget Passes Handily

Three of six school board candidates were elected.

FARMINGDALE, NY — Residents within the boundaries of the Farmingdale School District on Tuesday voted to pass the 2023-24 school budget by a margin of 2,296 votes to 1,146.

The district's budget is $194,297,069, up 6.24 percent from last year's. The tax levy is $136,812,306, up 2.3 percent.

Three members were elected to the Farmingdale Board of Education.

Dawn Luisi (2,132 votes) and Ralph Morales (1,996) were elected to three-year terms. Sheree Jones was elected to a one-year term with 1,839 votes.
