Farmingdale 5th Grade Students Participate in Field Day Extravaganza

The Farmingdale School District recently held its annual Fifth Grade Field Day. The yearly event is a day-long outdoor extravaganza for the District’s entire fifth grade class designed to encourage physical education, teamwork and healthy living habits.

More than 500 students participated in stations aimed to enhance different skill sets—including relay races, tug-of-war competitions and obstacle courses. This event was part of a Farmingdale School District initiative to combat childhood obesity and teach students cooperative teamwork.
