Farmingdale Announces First Winter Wonderland Skating Rink
The Village Green will be transformed into an ice rink for a few days, and will host a special New Years celebration, too.
For the first time, the Farmingdale Village Green will be turning into a Winter Wonderland -- without the help of Mother Nature.
The Farmingdale Village Merchants Association is sponsoring the first Village Winter Wonderland at the Village Green, creating an ice skating rink that residents can enjoy for free. The rink will be open from Dec. 26 through 31 from 2 to 9 p.m. Though skating is free, reservations are required. You can reserve a skate time by clicking here.
In addition to skating, there will be entertainment at the Village Green as well. Entertainment will include holiday performances, dancing and live music.

To top it all off, there will be a special New Years celebration on Dec. 31. There will be a ball drop at 9 p.m. by the Farmingdale Fire Department, and live entertainment for all who come out.
The Village Green is located at 361 Main St. in Farmingdale, next to the Main Street fire house.
