Farmingdale High School Robotics Team Wins First Place in VEX Robotics Competition

'The Robodalers' advance to Southern New York State Championship

Farmingdale School District recently celebrated the Farmingdale High School Robotics Team, ‘The Robodalers,’ which recently took 1st place at the opening VEX event in Carle Place on Long Island. Their first place finish win qualified them to advance to the Southern New York State Championship. The team also qualified to compete in the Create Robotics Open in Council Bluffs, Iowa.

Participating students included: Tyler Looney, Jack Miller, Selina Nguyen, John Lowenhaupt, Alyssa Alameda, Esther Sherry, Josh Sherry, Cliff Yung, Ashley Burbano and Alex Burbano.

Students in the Farmingdale School District participate in this and other robotics and programming competitions throughout the country every year as part of the District’s dedication to providing students with outstanding opportunities to explore the science, technology, engineering and math fields.
