Farmingdale High School Student Receives Award of Excellence in Engineering

Christopher Stauber Wins Award of Excellence

The Farmingdale School District recently celebrated the accomplishments of Farmingdale High School senior Christopher Stauber, who received an Award of Excellence from the Congress of Future Science and Technology Leaders for aspiring to work in a scientific field and having strong leadership potential.

Stauber is an honors student and is interested in pursuing a career in engineering. During the conference, which is held annually in Boston, Massachusetts, Stauber met with fellow prodigies, including winners of Intel Science and Engineering Fellowship, the Google Science Fair, the Siemens Competition in Math, Science and Technology, The Thiel Fellowship and the International Sanfi BioGENius Challenge. Together, they shared their passion and enthusiasm for science.

The Farmingdale School District is proud to be home to one of the best science, technology, engineering and math programs in the region. The District’s robust science program enabled a team of Farmingdale High School students to win the U.S. Department of Energy’s regional 2016 National Science Bowl® competition.
