Farmingdale Holds Annual Art Showcase

Hundreds of Farmingdale School District students, in kindergarten—12th grade, parents, and district faculty recently gathered at Weldon E. Howitt Middle School to attend a showcase featuring the best examples of artwork students created in their art classes during the 2016-2017 academic year. Thousands of pieces of artwork were on display throughout the school showcasing a variety of advanced techniques in a variety of mediums including sculpture, painting, photography, collage, found objects and more.

During this event art teachers and students presented their work to families and the community during a reception, discussing the artistic skills and techniques they used as well as their sources for inspiration. The artwork will remain on display in the school until Memorial Day.
