Farmingdale Home Fully Engulfed By Fire, Badly Damaged
At least 120 firefighters from 13 fire departments and the Nassau County Fire Marshal were on the scene, officials say.

FARMINGDALE, NY — A Farmingdale home was fully engulfed by flames, causing "extensive" damage Monday afternoon, the Nassau County Police Department said. Everyone was out of the Secatogue Avenue house by the time Nassau police officers arrived around 12:45 p.m.
The fire also spread and caused damage to a home on Nelson Street. At least 120 firefighters from 13 fire departments took on the blaze: Farmingdale took point with help from East Farmingdale, South Farmingdale, Bethpage, Syosset, Deer Park, Melville, Massapequa, North Massapequa, Hicksville, Plainview, Levittown and East Norwich, as well as the Nassau County Fire Marshal.
Two firemen were treated at a local hospital for minor burns, and one firefighter was also treated for an eye injury. The Arson Bomb Squad is investigating.
