Farmingdale HS Hosts Robotics Competition For First Time
The school's team always does well. This year, they had the chance to host.

FARMINGDALE, NY - From Farmingdale School District: For the first-time ever, Farmingdale High School hosted the nationally renowned VEX Robotics Competition. The purpose of the competition is to explore innovation through robotics, celebrate student accomplishments, and encourage friendly competition. The Farmingdale robotics teams have consistently qualified for the New York State Championship, and have advanced to the VEX World Championship for the past three years.
The competition included 36 teams of students, testing their robots against each other and competing to advance to the regional competition. Farmingdale Robotics sent three teams, VEXcalibur, the Dalerbots, and the Robodalers. All three qualified for the quarterfinals, and the Dalerbots advanced to the semifinals. Judges selected the Dalerbots for the Design Award, which qualifies them to participate in the Southern New York State Championship in March.
