Farmingdale HS Student Wins Good Neighbor Scholarship Award
The student demonstrated the "same values and ethics" held by State Farm, says State Farm Agent Joseph Benincasa.

FARMINGDALE, NY — Michaela Johnson, a recent Farmingdale High School graduate, is the winner of the “Joseph Benincasa State Farm Agency Good Neighbor Scholarship Award,” Joseph Benincasa's Office announced.
Benincasa funds the program and selects an outstanding, local high school graduate as the scholarship recipient. He has presented the award for two years in a row.
"Michaela was selected for demonstrating and believing in the same values and ethics that
are held by our agency when it comes to being a good neighbor," Benincasa stated.

Benincasa started the scholarship program to give back to the community and help young adults with funding while entering their first year of college. All students interested in the scholarship were asked to submit an essay that highlighted their academic and community service achievements and what it means to be a “good neighbor.”
“We felt Michaela’s submission best fit the mission of our scholarship program,” Benincasa said. “Congratulations, Michaela. My team and I wish you all the best and success as you head into an exciting new chapter!”
