Farmingdale Middle School Students Hit the Dancefloor

Students Explore Spanish Culture Outside the Classroom

The Farmingdale School District recently offered an opportunity for Howitt Middle School eighth graders taking Spanish classes to see ‘The Hispanic Flamenco Ballet’ in Port Washington. The students attended the performance as part of a District initiative to expose students to aspects of Spanish culture outside the classroom. During the performance, professional dancers showcased a mix of traditional Hispanic dances, including Tango, Cumbia, Flamenco and Salsa. Following the performance, students enjoyed an authentic Mexican lunch at CaraCara Restaurant in Farmingdale.
