Farmingdale Pastor Recognized By Town During 'Pastor Appreciation Month'
The Town Board is recognizing Pastors this October in the Town of Oyster Bay on Long Island.
FARMINGDALE, NY — A Farmingdale church's Pastor has been recognized as part of the Town of Oyster Bay's 'Pastor Appreciation Month.'
Pastor Miguel Vasquez of Farmingdale's Living Faith Christian Church has been honored by the Town Board for being a spiritual leader who provides service, guidance, and "unwavering commitment to their communities," the Town said.
"Pastoring is not an easy job; they work long hours, often behind the scenes, and sometimes must handle difficult and tragic situations with great care and sensitivity," Supervisor Joseph Saladino said. "They are responsible for leading, taking care of administrative duties, and providing pastoral care
whenever and wherever it is needed."
