Farmingdale School Budget Passes By More Than 500 Votes
The district has announced the results of its budget and board of education election.

FARMINGDALE, NY — The Farmingdale School District's 2026-2027 budget passed on Tuesday.
The budget of $212,622,704 was approved with 1345 "yes" votes and 806 "no" votes.
This was an increase of 3.19 percent from the current 2025-2026 $206,042,592.

Dawn Luisi and Patrick Walsh were both elected to the school's Board of Education and ran unopposed.
Proposition II Farmingdale Youth Council was approved with 1414 "yes" votes and 664 "no" votes.

The tax cap calculation results in a 2.48 percent increase to the tax levy for a proposed total of $147,199,617 — following the current year's $143,632,984 figure.
