FARMINGDALE, NY — Unfortunately, summer is starting to wind down. That means school is right around the corner, as the Farmingdale School District's first day is Sept. 5.

• Oct. 9: Yom Kippur (No school)
• Oct. 14: Columbus Day (No school)
• Nov. 5: Superintendent's Conference Day/Election Day
• Nov. 11: Veterans' Day (No school)
• Nov. 28-29: Thanksgiving Break
• Dec. 23-Jan. 1: Holiday Recess
