FARMINGDALE, NY—This winter, the Farmingdale School District had created a video it would have used to notify students and their families of a snow day. There was just one problem: there was never a snow day.

So, the district released the video on Wednesday, the official last day of school, to wish Dalers a happy summer.

"On this last official day of school, we want to share a video with you that we never got the chance to post because Mother Nature didn't give us any snow days this year," the district posted on its Facebook page. "If it HAD snowed... this is how you would have found out there was no school. Enjoy. And Happy Summer!"

Over a dozen students sang with Superintendent Paul Defendini to announce the snow day that never came.
