Farmingdale Senior Selected as Prestigious National Hispanic Scholar
Aurea Hanser Recognized By The National Hispanic Recognition Program

The Farmingdale School District recently celebrated Farmingdale High School senior Aurea Hanser for being selected by the National Hispanic Recognition program as a National Hispanic Scholar. She was recognized as an exceptional Hispanic/Latina student as a result of scoring in the top 2.5 percent on her Preliminary Scholastic Aptitude Test/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT) exam among all Hispanic and Latino test takers. Following her recognition she participated in the National Hispanic Recognition Program. Hanser has also earned the prestigious title of Advanced Placement Scholar with Honor distinction, and she will graduate in June with an advanced Regents diploma with honors distinction before attending New York University in the fall.
