Rebecca Aleck Koltun was set to graduate college when she was involved in a life-threatening skiing accident on March 13, 2021, according to Over the Hill Gang. She suffered catastrophic injuries to her neck and spinal cord. A team of roughly 20 EMTs and other medical professionals saved her life, but Rebecca is now paralyzed from the neck down. She is unable to move her arms or legs.
The injury to her spinal cord is similar to that suffered years ago by actor Christopher Reeve, the softball league wrote. The medical name for her condition is quadriplegia.
