Farmingdale Spring Events: Easter Egg Hunt, Food Drive, More
The Easter Egg Hunt was postponed from Saturday. The Memorial Day Parade is scheduled. Check out more springtime events.

FARMINGDALE, NY — The Easter Egg Hunt / Photos with the Easter Bunny in Farmingdale was postponed from Saturday to Sunday, the village announced.
The event is now scheduled for 2 p.m. Sunday on the Village Green, at 361 Main Street. The egg hunt is for children 11 and younger.
"Please arrive early and bring Easter baskets, friends & family, weather permitting," Mayor Ralph Ekstrand said.

The Farmingdale Women’s Club, with Farmingdale School District social workers, is asking for donations of non-perishable food items and / or gift cards to local food stores for distribution during spring break to students.
The program is held 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Fridays until April 16 at the Farmingdale Public Library.

An Farmingdale Open Mic and Jam Session, hosted by Chuck and Vinny, is scheduled for 7 p.m. April 9. It will be held inside Farmingdale Village Hall or, if weather permits, on the Village Green. All ages are welcome to participate. To register, email openmicfarmingdale@gmail.com or sign up at the event. Additional dates are slated for May 21 June 11. It is sponsored by the Farmingdale Village Cultural Arts Committee.
Colored Colors is presenting an Art Crawl in downtown Farmingdale along Main Street from noon to 5 p.m. April 21, weather permitting. It is sponsored by The Farmingdale Chamber of Commerce and the Farmingdale Business Improvement District.
The Farmingdale Community Expo & Health Fair, presented by the Farmingdale Community Summit Council, is slated for May 11.

- Farmingdale Fire Dept. Spring Fair along Main Street / Fire Dept. Open House (rear of fire house): 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. June 1, along with Farmingdale Medieval History Day hosted by The Canton of Lion’s End, On the Village Green (Farmingdale Cultural Arts Committee). Rain date: June 8.
- Farmer’s Market On the Village Green by Schneider’s Farm: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sundays, June 2 through Nov. 24. Weather permitting.
