Farmingdale State College Among Most Affordable In The U.S.

FARMINGDALE, NY - Farmingdale State College recently ranked among the top 100 most affordable universities/colleges in America, according to BestValueSchools.com. The website ranked a total of about 600 public and private (non-profit), four-year colleges and universities in the U.S. that offer primarily bachelor’s degrees or above and have an undergraduate enrollment greater than 4,000 students.

They then created a net price for all the schools by subtracting the average amount of federal, state/local government, or institutional grant or scholarship aid from the total cost of attendance.

The local school ranked in at number 29 on the list with a net price of $8,346 per year.

California State University-Los Angeles came in at number 1 with a net price of $3,160 per year.

Farmingdale State College also ranked number 32 among the top 50 most affordable schools in the state.

In addition, the school's Bachelor of Nursing degree came in at number 9 among the top 50 programs in the U.S.
