Farmingdale Students Create Models and Print in 3D

Northside Elementary School Students Use Makerbot to Think Outside the Box

Farmingdale School District’s Northside Elementary School students recently learned how to create and print models in 3D using Makerbot. They were participating in a District initiative to enhance students’ learning and achievements in art, music, technology, English, social students, science and math through innovation labs in the school’s library media center. During the lesson students thought outside the box, coming up with creative solutions using 3-D printers to solve complex problems. As part of the Farmingdale School District’s commitment to serving as an incubator for innovation, it is committed to creating makerspaces and innovation labs in each school in the district, providing students with a maximum of opportunities to excel.
