Farmingdale Students Receive Chromebooks
Students in grades 4-8 at Farmingdale School District schools received chrome books as part of the district's One-To-World initiative.

FARMINGDALE, NY - From Farmingdale School District: Farmingdale School District students in grades four through eight are excited about using the Chromebooks which each of them were given as part of the District’s One-to-World Learning Initiative. At the start of this school year, each fourth, fifth and eighth grader was presented with his/her own new Chromebook as an educational tool to can take home and use in and outside of the classroom. Last year, fifth and sixth graders received their Chromebooks. This initiative is designed to provide teachers with the resources necessary to both innovate and individualize instruction according to the needs of each student. At the same time these Chromebooks give students the chance to personalize their own learning and make choices about how they learn. The District’s vision for the One-to-World Learning Initiative is to build a personalized, digital learning to boost academic achievement and better prepare students for college and the workforce. The One-to-World Learning Initiative will advance the transformation of teaching and learning and accelerate the academic achievement of all students.
