Farmingdale Winter Wonderland 2019 Community Event

FARMINGDALE, NY — Winter is coming. And Farmingdale will usher it in with its Winter Wonderland 2019 from Thursday, Dec. 12 through Sunday, Dec. 15.

The Village Board of Farmingdale and Farmingdale Village Merchants Association are sponsoring the community event, and here's how you can participate.

• Thursday, Dec. 12: White Christmas Dinner Show at 317 Main Street, 7 p.m.
• Friday, Dec. 13:
  • You Be the Judge — Stroll along Main Street and vote for the best-decorated store window.
  • Family Movie Night — Frosty the Snowman @ St. Kilian Auditorium. Starts at 7 p.m.; admission is free.
• Saturday, Dec. 14: Long Island Gingerbread and Chocolate House Competition @ the Chocolate Duck from noon to 4 p.m.
• Sunday, Dec. 15: Winter Wonderland Family Fun on the Village Green from noon to 6 p.m.
  • Craft fair and free train rides for children — noon to 6 p.m.
  • MB Dancers performance — 1 p.m.
  • Crafts for the Kids with Farmingdale-Massapequa Macaroni Kid — 2 to 4 p.m.
  • Northside Junior Chorus — 3 p.m.
  • Free hot chocolate (donated by Priestly Chiropractic)
  • Free hot dogs (donated by Croxley's)
  • Announcement of Village Window Winners
  • Candy Cane Hunt
  • Pictures with Santa and other photo opportunities
• Festival of Lights: Lessons and Carols @ St. Kilian Church, 4 p.m.
