Farmingdale's First San Gennaro Feast Set for This Weekend

The town's first ever feast will kick off this Sunday.

For those who enjoy all things Italian, Farmingdale will be getting its very own San Gennaro Feast this weekend.

The town's first ever feast will take place on Sunday, Sept. 18 from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Main Street between Prospect Street S. Front Street.

The area will be closed off to traffic between 12 p.m. and 8 p.m. for the event.

The event was started by local business owner Joe Fortuna along with the Farmingdale Village Merchants Association and Farmingdale Chamber of Commerce.

During the free event, guests will be able to enjoy:

  • A prayer tent by St. Kilian Church for the Annual Salute to honor the Patron Saint of Naples
  • Italian Themed food from premier restaurants on Main Street including Kannoli King
  • Live music: Italian Singers and DJ's as well as accordion players
The rain date for the event is Sept. 25.
