Festive Farmingdale Weekend In Celebration Of St. Patrick's Day

The annual parade will be this Sunday.

FARMINGDALE, NY — Farmingdale is about to be festive with St. Patrick's Day events this coming weekend. There will be an Irish Day Party at a local cafe on Saturday and the St. Patrick's Day Parade on Sunday.

Elise's Niece's Cafe will be hosting its annual Irish Day Party on Saturday from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. They will have live music, drinks, shopping, and raffles at Back In Time, Vintage Home Decor. The cafe will also have a photobooth until 3 p.m. at 441 Main Street.

The following day is Farmingdale's St. Patrick's Day Parade. This year's Grand Marshal is Farmingdale Village Administrator Clerk/Treasurer Brian Harty. The parade will kick off at 2 p.m. from Northside School, proceeding south down Main Street to the Village Green at 361 Main Street. Folks can explore downtown Farmingdale's many shops and local restaurants.

The parade is sponsored by the Farmingdale Business Improvement District/Farmingdale Village. Many businesses and people helped make the parade possible this year, including all sponsors, participants, Joe Fortuna of the Nutty Irishman, Farmingdale Fire Department, Farmingdale Chamber of Commerce, and all volunteers.

Main Street will be temporarily closed for the parade.
