Fork Cancer: LI Chefs To Host Ticketed Fundraiser In Farmingdale

Chefs from across the island are set to hit 317 Main Street for a fundraiser benefitting two organizations that fight cancer.

FARMINGDALE, NY — Some of the finest chefs on Long Island are set to converge in Farmingdale to do their part in sticking a fork in cancer.

Fork Cancer is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. April 11 at 317 Main Street, a restaurant in Farmingdale helmed by restaurateur Joe Fortuna and head chef Eric LeVine.

LeVine will be joined by his fellow culinary masterminds from Robke's of Northport; 1653 Pizza Company of Huntington; Blackbird Kitchen & Cocktails of Wantagh; and Rustic Root Kitchen of Woodbury.

The chefs will work on a cocktail reception and four-course tasting menu to raise funds and bring awareness to Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and Family Reach, two organizations fighting against cancer.

The cost is $150 per ticket. Fork Cancer tickets can be bought on the 317 Main Street website.

"Fork Cancer is about community, about paying a bit forward to those in need," LeVine told Patch. "LLS and Family Reach are both amazing organizations that we have teamed up with to raise awareness and raise money for both organizations. I have teamed up with some amazing chefs and entrepreneurs."

The event is set to be emceed by Cara Di Falco of Cara's Cucina. She has also been with News 12 NJ, Good Day NY on Fox5, and 1010 WINS radio.
