The Halal Guys Open First Long Island Location
The popular NYC food cart has expanded to brick-and-mortar restaurants, and Long Island just got its first one.

The Halal Guys, one of New York City's most popular food carts, has expanded over the years into brick-and-mortar restaurants. Now Long Island has its first location, in Farmingdale.
Located at 911 Broadhollow Road, The Halal Guys's new outpost opened its doors March 3, and business has been booming. Lines have been consistently out the door as people come in to try the food.
The Halal Guys began in 1990 as a hot dog cart in Manhattan. According to their website, they found that many Muslim cab drivers were looking for halal food, so the cart changed and started to serve chicken and gyro over rice.
