ICYMI: Alleged Drunk Driver in Deadly East Farmingdale Crash Pleads Not Guilty to Charges

In case you missed it, here's a story that appeared last week in Farmingdale Patch:

A Melville man accused of driving drunk after a deadly crash in East Farmingdale back in July plead not guilty to all charges in court on Wednesday.

According to court records, 49-year-old Edward Okon was charged with second degree vehicular manslaughter, leaving the scene of an accident and operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated.

On July 23, Okon was driving his 2012 Ford F-150 pickup truck northbound on Wellwood Avenue and attempted to make a left turn on Conklin Street when he struck 39-year-old Tomasz Myszke of Copiague, who was driving a 2003 Suzuki motorcycle southbound, police said.

Myszke was pronounced dead at the scene. Okon was uninjured.

Supreme Court Justice Fernando Camacho set bail at $100,000. Okon is due back in court on Nov. 1.
