ICYMI: Gas Leak Reported at Farmingdale State College

In case you missed it, here's a story that appeared last week in Farmingdale Patch:

FARMINGDALE, NY - A gas leak was reported at Farmingdale State College earlier this week.

On Tuesday, the East Farmingdale Fire Department responded to the college on 2350 Broadhollow Road at about 10:37 a.m. on a report of a gas leak on the grounds.

Upon arrival, they found that a construction excavator struck and damaged a low pressure gas line.

After safely securing the surrounding buildings, fire department units stood by until National Grid was able to shut down the gas supply.

No injuries were reported.
