ICYMI: Man Makes Terroristic Threat to Nassau Supermarket: Police

A 61-year-old man was arrested early Wednesday for making a terrorist threat toward his former employer, a Nassau supermarket, police said.

According to police, Kevin Derham, of Massapequa Park, called ShopRite located at 5508 Sunrise Highway in Massapequa eight to 10 times.
When the ShopRite employee advised Derham that he recognized his voice, Derham stated that there was a bomb in the store and that he was going to shoot an employee in the head, police said.

Detectives responded to the Derham's home and placed him under arrest without incident, police said.
Derham is a former employee of the ShopRite, but police did not say when he last worked there.
Derham is charged with making a terroristic threat and will be arraigned on Wednesday at First District Court in Hempstead.
